As part of God’s answer, we desire to initiate a Catalan reformed evangelical church, and equip its members to serve Christ and their neighbors.
about us
Guido and Evelin serve
in Catalonia to promote gospel-centered and culturally understandable worship for Catalans.
Evelin was born and raised in Catalonia, while Guido moved in 2011 from Antwerp (BE) to Barcelona to work in graphic design.
In Barcelona they were part of the planting team of Ciutat Nova (New City), a reformed-evangelical church with worship services in Catalan, where Guido became one of the pastors.
In the summer of 2021 they moved their family to Girona for a new church planting initiative, directed at the Catalans in the city.
Guido and Evelin invest in friendships, extend hospitality and engage in the local communities with the desire to understand the city from within.
As a family they’re dedicated to prayer for the people they meet. They also host a weekly prayer meeting in their apartment, joining together with other Christians to pray for their city.
They have also invested in forming an initial core-group with those who share their vision and mission for church planting in a Catalan context.
Over the last two years, Guido has also been privileged to serve the Athletes in Action Pro Cycling ministry, preaching with certain regularity in their Sunday gatherings.

Prayer
Please pray for us that God would open doors for the message in this city, for the preaching of Christ’s Gospel with wisdom to outsiders, making the most of every opportunity. Pray for the Spirit to open eyes and hearts, leading more Catalans to find all their hope and joy in Jesus.

Projects
Christianity Explored®
We have successfully translated and recorded CE's “What is Christianity?” into Catalan. Additionally, we are working on translating their introductory course on the Christian faith. This includes videos that will be filmed in Catalan environments and complemented by student and leader manuals.
Music ministry
Guido’s ministry in Catalonia started behind the piano, leading the Barcelona congregation in song during Sunday services. In collaboration with others, he has worked to compose, translate, arrange, and produce congregational music. By God’s grace, this initiative has already had an impact on churches in Catalonia.
Confessional material
Over the years, we have translated Reformed confessions and provided teaching on their content. We want to continue this work and expand our confessional base while spreading the Gospel to Catalans. In the upcoming year, our goal is to complete the translation of the Heidelberg Catechism, complemented by a weekly podcast.
